POTentially Legal

Don?t drop that joint! This is not a game!?Looks like the?typical?yearly push for legalizing marijuana by California has finally reached to greener pastures up North and is gaining traction. The three states that are proposing these?radical changes, according to www.indystar.com, are Oregon, Washington, and Colorado. Each state may have?the same goal, but they do have different reasons for legalization.

Colorado?s main push comes behind a small town just outside of Denver that has always looked to stretch the rules: South Park.?As for Oregon, it is speculated that the state?is striving to become one of the 1st?green states because they are?apparently tired of being known solely for the fact that they have more Nike college football jerseys than inhabitants. The reason for Washington is unknown? but I, Dank Aaron,?as a representative of the black community, know that it is well known amongst us what Barack was supposed to do when he got in office. Can?t get mad if he?s going to medicate his city first!

In all seriousness though, there?really are?legitimate reasons as to why Colorado, Oregon, and Washington are pushing towards a greener future. Colorado is actually taking the route of the typical American college student, selling?grass to pay for class! School construction to be exact, but it sounds familiar! Oregon is ready to?pack 90% of all marijuana profits into the states general fund/bong and rip it; not to mention?it thinks it?can save over 1 million a year on prison fees. Finally to clear the air, surprisingly Washington isn?t trying to legalize?the ganja?because Barack Obama is the first blackish president, therefore requiring him to fulfill his obligation to the black community and to stereotypes?abound by legalizing one of our most penalized offenses. The way that Washington justifies it?s?lust for Mary Jane is actually a bit more feasible, pledging to donate over half of the funds collected from marijuana taxes to substance abuse prevention, research, health care, and education.

With the Federal Government still criminalizing the troublesome tree and more and more states pushing to do their own things, things?can only get weirder?with this topic. Colorado, Oregon, and Washington all see the potential gain for this to be for the better, guesstimating the profits to be anywhere from 1 million a year to 2 billion over five years. Whatever happens green will always make green. So the?government?should hop on this bandwagon while they still can, as there will always be a black market for the herbs!

Dank Aaron Dank Aaron I'm just a black red power ranger in a white red power ranger's world. Yea, I got a BBA from Middle Tennessee State University. Yea, I love Asian girls. Yea, I'm writing a book. No, that baby's not mine. Yea, there's fallen angels on the moon. No, I did not save any money on my car insurance because I teleport. Yea, they judge me by the color of my mask but it's what's on the inside that counts right??? F*ck you
